Lecture by Bernhard Diehl
On the Thursday before Remembrance Day, Bernhard Diehl talks about the work of the German War Graves Commission and its importance for the culture of remembrance. The Meersburg-Lerchenberg war cemetery commemorates the exchange of severely wounded prisoners of war from various countries in neutral Switzerland. The biography of a fallen Radolfzell soldier is representative of the many men who did not return from the war.
