Knowledgeable and researched on location: If you want to understand the Middle East conflict, you need to know the history of the Israelis and Palestinians – and listen to the people who lived it.
Martin Schäuble has spoken to Israelis and Palestinians over many years.
They tell of a life in a state of emergency, of long, bitter battles.
What they tell us about their everyday lives makes it abundantly clear that there is no single valid truth.
And the ongoing conflict leaves no room to hear the voices of the other side.
– This “topical and gripping non-fiction and history book” (FOCUS) sheds light on the region and the conflict at close quarters – from the founding of the state to the Hamas attack on Israel.
