Ranunka! Who is the witch here? A modern fairy tale

“Rapunzel let down your hair” was yesterday – today’s Rapunzel is called Ranunka and is very different from the original! Based on the classic Grimm’s fairy tale in terms of costume and content, this Rapunzel story deals with rather unusual questions: What if the witch isn’t the witch at all and the teenage girl takes her fate into her own hands? Why should someone be sent to the desert and why doesn’t money actually make you happy?
This story, penned by Tanja Wildenhof, is about trust, disappointment, consumerism and beauty mania, greed, intrigue, frugality and, of course, love. Rapunzel reloaded, so to speak!
