Night of the Libraries – Reading with Michael Kobr

On 04.04.2025 the Night of the Libraries will be celebrated in the city library from 19.00 hrs.

Michael Kobr, the author known from the cult Kluftinger crime novels, who now also writes solo crime novels, will kick things off. He will be reading from his new crime novel “Fog over Rønne”, which will be published in February 2025. It is the second volume about investigator Lennart Ipsen, set on the idyllic Danish island of Bornholm.

Afterwards, the Baraka World Choir, conducted by Rainer Dost, will perform songs from various cultures at 9.00 pm.

Dancing is then allowed from 10.00 pm. Many people still remember the “Tanzschlössle”, the disco in the basement of the Austrian Palace, which was closed many years ago. Now, 10 years after the reopening of the city library, you can once again dance there for an evening. DJ Rainer Dost will provide the right music.

The events can also be attended individually. Admission is only for the reading, the other two events are free of charge. The choir sings on a donation basis. However, as space is limited, tickets will be issued for all events.
