In a pain-ridden present full of violence and war, Marica Bodrožić has written a novel about the healing and wholeness of the individual in “The Heart Floret”. In it, she reverses the perspective of freedom. The author’s themes are not accusation and blame, but the self-empowering question: What can I do as an individual when the conditions of my life are so hard on me that a departure for something new is unavoidable? In the reading “Alchemy of Life” on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, Marica Bodrožić will read from her novel at the Radolfzell City Library at 7.30 pm. In the book, the author uses her main character Pepsi to show that the new only emerges from the new and never from the old. Freedom requires the courage to forget everything about oneself and to become what arises from within as a path to freedom and liberation.
