Count Wenceslas
5. August – 6. August | 11:00 bis 13:00 Uhr
Explore the world of sounds with Count Wenzelslaus!
What do swirling dust flakes sound like? And what does it sound like when butter melts? Children aged eight to eleven can embark on an exciting audio journey through the world of sounds with the musical story “Count Wenzelslaus” on Monday, August 5, 2024 and Tuesday, August 6, 2024, from 11.00 am to 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm in the Radolfzell City Library. Participation is free of charge, registration by e-mail to musikvermittlung.radolfzell@gmail.com
is required. The performance, which takes place as part of the summer holiday program, is a cooperation between the Radolfzell City Library and the Radolfzell Music School.
The event is based on the children’s book “Graf Wenzelslaus” by Thomas J. Hauck. In it, the author tells the story of Count Wenzelslaus, the world’s most famous sound collector, who is constantly on the lookout for exciting sounds – for example, the sound of dust flakes whirling or the sound of butter melting. During the performance, the story of Count Wenzelslaus is set to music, and the children can also read, paint, sing and play percussion instruments together with the music school’s music educator, Amelie Schirmer. This brings the story to life!
