Christmas reading aloud
The next afternoon of reading aloud for children in the city library will take place on Friday, December 6, 2025, at 4:00 pm. The theme this time is “Starry lights and the smell of cookies”, in keeping with the Christmas market taking place at the same time. Members of the Friends of the City Library are looking forward to reading Christmas stories to the children and hope that many bookworms will come to listen. Admission is free!
Further read-aloud dates for the Circle of Friends are on Friday, 17.01.2025, with the theme “Snow and Ice” and on Friday, 14.02.2025, with the theme “Friendship and Love”. Both start at 16.00 hrs. Admission is free!
In order to have enough reading material for the afternoons, the members of the circle of friends have purchased numerous exciting, fantastic and funny picture books and stories worth a total of 750.00 euros. After the reading events, the books are intended to provide parents and children with many enjoyable reading moments and can therefore be borrowed from the city library’s permanent collection.
