Flute Quartets 1–4

Performers:

Constance Sannier, Flute

Seungyeon Lee, Violin

Till Breitkreutz, Viola

Ilya Andrianov, Cello

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s four flute quartets are among the most elegant works of 18th-century chamber music. With playful ease, melodic ingenuity, and a keen sense of tonal balance, Mozart allows the flute to engage in a lively dialogue with the strings. Each quartet reveals its own distinct character—ranging from cheerful and virtuosic to heartfelt and cantabile—and showcases Mozart at the height of his mastery of chamber music.
