BARAKA World Music Choir
Open your ears for a special choral experience: the BARAKA choir brings the most diverse sounds of the world to the stage. And far from the dusty choral sounds, but modern, fresh and with extraordinary arrangements.
At the performance in the city library on Friday, 04.04.2025 at 21.00, the focus of the program will be on songs with special and literary texts, which will be read in translation as an introduction.
On this evening, the choir will be supported by Barbara Witzel on violin and Martin Huber on percussion.
The BARAKA World Music Choir is a mixed choir with around 25 singers under the direction of Rainer Dost. BARAKA’s program is a polyphonic journey of discovery into sometimes contemplative, sometimes rousing singing cultures from all continents. 3-6 voices from Europe, Africa, Asia or Latin America – sung in original languages.
