Culture night: art and culture until midnight
On Thursday, 02.10.2025, it’s time again: creativity is in the air! On this evening, art and culture enthusiasts can once again embark on a fascinating and varied journey of discovery through the town at the 21st Radolfzell Culture Night from 6.00 pm to midnight.
This year, 53 artists have already registered to present their works, performances and projects at over 25 different locations – not only from Radolfzell, but also from the region and beyond. From painting, photography and sculpture to dance, theater, film, music and craftsmanship, almost every form of artistic expression is represented. Visitors are invited to experience art and culture first-hand and discover extraordinary exhibition venues. They can look forward to a special atmosphere in the alleyways, exciting conversations with the artists and a city that belongs entirely to culture for one night.
Taking part for the first time are the KlangKultur Radolfzell e.V. association, Elsa Santinho-Reiser, who will be showing her works in the Elsa Hairlounge, the Gelebter Dialog association in the Weltkloster monastery and the Teggererschule photo club, which will be presenting a moving picture story. Luisa Weißhaar, who caused a stir last year as the youngest participant in the Culture Night, will also be back in 2025 and will be showing her latest works in Fernando’s ice cream parlor and bar. Participation in the Culture Night is free of charge for the artists.
As in previous years, the cultural night is organized by the city’s cultural office. Art lovers are invited to drift through the streets until late into the night and get to know the local cultural diversity.

Object karaoke – The thing from the depot
In the museum, we marvel at exhibits that bear witness to times long past, foreign cultures, artistic genius or simply good curation. We are normally denied a look behind the scenes and into the storerooms and depots of the Radolfzell City Museum. In Object Karaoke, improvisation artists present objects from the Radolfzell City Museum that they see on stage for the first time. They are given a new object every 90 seconds for six minutes and have to present it to the audience as originally as possible. After each presentation, the museum tells the audience the real story behind the object.
It is up to the audience to decide by the volume of applause who makes it to the final and wins the first object karaoke in Radolfzell.

Dead or Alive Poetry Slam
We make the stage of the city library shake – with a literary competition in a class of its own, the Dead or Alive Poetry Slam. This special form of verbal duel is quite rightly called the supreme discipline of the poetry slam.
Actors slip into the roles of deceased writers and try to compete with the best poetry slammers in the German-speaking world. Do the works of the great writers from the afterlife still stand a chance against some of the strongest texts of current stage poetry? Or will they be immediately sent back to the grave by the audience vote? In the end, the audience will decide who will come out on top in this duel.
