Stream movies, documentaries and children’s movies online

The library offers all film lovers the “filmfriend” portal, which gives them access to over 2,500 high-quality films, series, documentaries and children’s films.
The selection includes German films, international and European arthouse titles, film classics and a curated selection for children and young people. With such a wide selection, there is something for everyone – for movie lovers and cineastes, families, children and young people.
Simply register from home or on the move with a valid all-inclusive library card (number and password). In addition, the age rating for children is automatically checked during registration.
“filmfriend” can be accessed via the browser(not Internet Explorer) on the PC / Mac or via the corresponding app (Apple Store or Play Store) on the tablet and smartphone, as well as via TV devices (via AppleTV or Google ChromeCast).

Hegau-Bodensee bond

Radolfzell City Library offers its readers the opportunity to conveniently download digital media to their personal computers or mobile devices such as e-book readers, smartphones, notebooks and tablet PCs from home or on the move. Over 7,500 licensed titles, including newspapers, magazines, novels, non-fiction and audio books, are available for digital borrowing day and night through the Onleihe Hegau-Bodensee.

To use the offer, a valid library card All-Inclusive of the Radolfzell City Library and a device for reading or playing is required.

To borrow media and gain access to your user account, you need to log in with your personal library card number and password. The titles can then be downloaded or streamed as files and can be used for the duration of the loan period. They then deactivate themselves so that no reminders are sent. Up to ten media can be borrowed at the same time. Using the eLibrary with the eLibrary app(Help eLibrary app) is particularly convenient.

 

 

Online newspapers and magazines

pressreader

Pressreader is an online press portal with over 7000 newspapers and magazines from 120 countries in 60 languages in the original layout that you can use from home or on the move.

e.g. Neue Zürcher Zeitung, Washington Post, Corriera della Serra, as well as a large selection of PC and technology magazines, Haus und Garten, the international Handelsblatt.

Every user can access the content simply by logging in with the user number and password of a valid library card.

To use the app, you must first call up PressReader via the library’s website in the browser and select the Radolfzell City Library in the “Register library or group” button and log in with the user number and password of your library card(PressReader quick guide)

For mobile devices with Android, Apple iOS and Blackberry operating systems, the free PressReader app can be downloaded from the relevant stores.
With the app you can download the complete publication (newspapers and magazines) and then read the content offline.

To use the app, you must first call up Pressreader via the library’s website in the browser and select the Radolfzell City Library in the “Register library or group” button and log in with your library card user number and password

You will then be prompted to create a personalized access or to log in with it. However, this request can be ignored and is not mandatory. Access is now activated for 30 days, after which you will need to register again.

You can log in to the online encyclopedias using your library card number and your password (date of birth dd.mm.yyyy, e.g. 09.09.1999)
