DESCRIPTION:What will it be like in heaven?What we can say to children. \nOn Thursday\, May 7\, 2026\, the children’s and youth hospice work in the district of Constance and the Radolfzell City Library invite you to the lecture “How might it be in heaven? What and how can we answer when young children ask big questions\, e.g. about serious illness\, dying\, death and grief?In their talk\, two specialists from the children’s and youth hospice work in the district of Constance\, Petra Dierenbach and Alexandra Maigler\, will give practical tips on how to talk to children aged six and over about difficult topics in an age-appropriate and sensitive way\, including recommendations for picture books and rituals. The evening is aimed at parents\, grandparents\, educators and anyone who accompanies children as a caregiver.   \nAfter the lecture there will be an opportunity to talk to the speakers. \nA book table is available. Admission is free\, donations are welcome. Both professionals and around 30 volunteer mentors accompany children and young people who are confronted with serious illness\, dying\, death and grief – usually in their own homes. Even though seriously ill children and young people usually survive thanks to modern medicine\, it often takes years before treatment is completed and everyday life returns to normal. This time is a crisis for everyone in the family. We therefore often accompany so-called “shadow children”\, i.e. healthy children who are overshadowed by a seriously ill family member. Free support for the families through professional advice and psychosocial support for the children and young people helps to make everyday life a little more anxiety and worry-free. Volunteers supplement where services and facilities\, as well as relatives\, reach their limits\, e.g. for time\, financial or emotional reasons. The services offered by the hospice for children and young people are largely funded by donations.

SUMMARY:Anno 1926 "Radolfzell celebrates 1100 years"
DESCRIPTION:In an exhibition\, the Förderverein Museum und Stadtgeschichte Radolfzell e. V. presents 40 impressive impressions of the anniversary celebrations that took place in Radolfzell exactly 100 years ago. The historical glass plate photographs from the Moriell family’s picture archive provide a fascinating insight into the festivities and atmosphere of the town at that time. Thanks to targeted funding\, the original glass plates have been restored and reproduced.
