SUMMARY:Children's book flea market
DESCRIPTION:As in previous years\, the city library is using Children’s Day on July 4\, 2026 as an opportunity to hold a children’s book flea market\, where books and games that have been sorted out and donated will be sold. From June 23\, the city library will also be accepting donations in good condition for the flea market. A good opportunity to get rid of books and games that the children have outgrown and get replacements.

SUMMARY:Stuffed Animal Sleepover
DESCRIPTION:Dear Diary\, \nToday I want to tell you about my sleepover at the Radolfzell City Library. \nI took lots of photos so I can remember everything well and always look back on how much fun we had. \n\n\n\n\nOn Tuesday\, I was already greeted by some of my fluffy friends. \nSo many of them accepted my invitation to the sleepover\, which made me very happy. \nOnce everyone had arrived on Wednesday evening\, the party could begin! \n\n\n\n\n\nTo get to know all my guests\, we naturally had to start with a round of introductions. \n\n\n\n\n\nA few of us danced to songs from the Tonie Box\, while others tried their hand at dominoes.\nOkti gathered a small group around her and read aloud from an exciting book.\n\n\nDid you know that you can also listen to stories through the Kekz headphones?\nThat way\, I can always listen for an adventure\, even when I’m traveling.\nI borrowed them right there at the library!\n\n\nThings got really heated during the BeeBot race in the children’s section!\nYou can program the little bees and have an exciting race with your friends.\n\n\nMy fluffy friends hopped on their saddles and went on a wild ride through the library.\n\n\n\nEven in the attic\, the empty library was used to take a few laps on the Bobby Car.\n\n\nPeople relaxed among the books\, and the coffee cups were repurposed as seats.\nThis makes it much easier to cope with this heat!\n\n\nWhat would a sleepover be without some spooky adventures?\nWe explored the hidden nooks and crannies of the city library…\nI wonder what’s hiding down there?\n\n\n\n\nAnd what could be better than ending the evening with a view of the lake? \n \nYawnnnn…. \nWe were all pretty tired from all our adventures. \nAs soon as we closed our eyes\, we were already in the land of dreams… \n \nI haven’t slept this well in a long time! \nUnfortunately\, with a heavy heart\, I had to say goodbye to my new friends and set off immediately to continue my journey. There’s still so much to experience!  \nI really enjoyed my time at the city library! I’ll definitely stop by again sometime.  \nYour Tiger Theo\, lost in memories

DESCRIPTION:What will it be like in heaven?What we can say to children. \nOn Thursday\, May 7\, 2026\, the children’s and youth hospice work in the district of Constance and the Radolfzell City Library invite you to the lecture “How might it be in heaven? What and how can we answer when young children ask big questions\, e.g. about serious illness\, dying\, death and grief?In their talk\, two specialists from the children’s and youth hospice work in the district of Constance\, Petra Dierenbach and Alexandra Maigler\, will give practical tips on how to talk to children aged six and over about difficult topics in an age-appropriate and sensitive way\, including recommendations for picture books and rituals. The evening is aimed at parents\, grandparents\, educators and anyone who accompanies children as a caregiver.   \nAfter the lecture there will be an opportunity to talk to the speakers. \nA book table is available. Admission is free\, donations are welcome. Both professionals and around 30 volunteer mentors accompany children and young people who are confronted with serious illness\, dying\, death and grief – usually in their own homes. Even though seriously ill children and young people usually survive thanks to modern medicine\, it often takes years before treatment is completed and everyday life returns to normal. This time is a crisis for everyone in the family. We therefore often accompany so-called “shadow children”\, i.e. healthy children who are overshadowed by a seriously ill family member. Free support for the families through professional advice and psychosocial support for the children and young people helps to make everyday life a little more anxiety and worry-free. Volunteers supplement where services and facilities\, as well as relatives\, reach their limits\, e.g. for time\, financial or emotional reasons. The services offered by the hospice for children and young people are largely funded by donations.
